Global Domain Transfer In
The process for transferring global domain names can be broken down into 3 stages.
- The first stage involves obtaining the relevant information required from the existing domain registrar in order to move the domain.
- The second stage is generating the transfer request and having that request approved.
- The final stage is awaiting the respective domain registry to move the domain between the 2 domain registrars.
To complete the first stage, you will need to contact your existing domain name registration provider and inform them that you intend to transfer your domain name to a new provider and that they are requested to unlock your domain name allowing for its transfer, and to provide you with your domains' "Auth/EPP Code" which you should pass to us.
You should also verify that the admin email contact address set on the domain is an email address that is being collected from. This is important as this is where the transfer confirmation email will be sent for approval and if not approved, the transfer will fail.
Some domain registrars have online panels where you can obtain the information required but if they do not then you will need to send them a formal request (signed letter/fax).
We can supply you with a template for this if required.

Once you have the Auth/EPP code, the domain is unlocked and you can confirm that the email address set for the admin contact on the domain is valid then you are ready to proceed to stage two.
To make a transfer request to move the domain to ourselves you will need to either login to your online billing panel with us or request directly from our website (https://www.host-it.co.uk/domains).
Once you have made the transfer request, an email will be sent out to the admin contact email address set on the domain (see above) within 12 hours of you making the request.
This will be sent from “Nuco Technologies Ltd” and will contain a link within the email that must be clicked on and approved.
The email recipient has 7 days to complete this or the transfer attempt will fail and will need to be re-ordered.
These emails can sometimes end up in an anti- spam filter so please ensure these are checked.
If no email is received within 2 days then please email
and a new request can be generated for no extra charge.
After 7 days, the transfer will need to be re-ordered.
Upon approval, you are now at the third stage of the transfer request and this will typically take between 7-10 days to complete. It may be possible (depending on the domain registrar who are releasing the domain to us), that the transfer can be expedited. If so, they will also email you a confirmation email which contains a link to approve the transfer with them. If approved then the transfer can complete within 24 hours of this second approval being made.
Upon successful completion of the transfer, you will be notified by email and the domains’ status updated in your online account
